If you are looking to seriously boost the power of your Caterpillar C15 ACERT engine or eliminate one of your turbos, you're in the right place! Allow this engine rebuild kit be the foundation of your project. Since it's release to the public, the IPD Brand Caterpillar C15 ACERT Low Compression Conversion Kit has been the industry standard in effectively reducing the engine's piston compression ratio from 18.2:1 down to 16:1.
Countless customers have experienced great success over the past few years installing this particular kit. Please understand though, additional modification will be required to properly reduce your engine's compression. In the least, your Engine Control Module (ECM) will need to be re-tuned. Depending on your particular application, the possibility exists that different Air or Fuel related parts may be needed as well. We recommend discussing this project in depth with your builder or tuner to see what may be required for your specific application.
This engine rebuild kit contains single piece, welded steel design piston number 3466615. It was designed to be used by those who are converting from a twin turbo setup down to a single turbo, as well as those who plan to keep both turbos and build a higher horsepower engine.
Per manufacturer recommendation, this kit is pre-packed with .001" oversized liners. This is to accommodate for thermal expansion of the steel piston, provided by additional heat generated by higher power engines. Standard sized liners can be provided at no additional cost, but are generally not recommended in this application.
Since the installation of these parts requires custom tuning and was designed for high horsepower applications, there is no warranty offered.

(1) Inframe Gasket Set* (Please see note below regarding Oil Pan Gasket)
*Please Note: Some Caterpillar C15 engines use an "Isolation Seal" for the underframe stiffener plate. (Manufacturer Part number 1685248) This item is not included with our kits, as Caterpillar suggests reusing this gasket up to 3 times before replacement. Please inspect your isolation seal. If you require a replacement, it will need to be ordered separately.
